One of the most intriguing aspects of the Lake of the Ozarks is the lake itself. Anywhere you find yourself you’ll be sailing. To get a head start on the peak seasons, you’ll need to know what you’re in for in terms of boat rentals, space, and where you can park your boat when you’re ready to do a little partying.

There’s no party like a Party Cove party. For miles and miles, you’ll see nothing but a stretch of boats commandeered by those in the mood for a little shake. The peak season is obviously during the summer months, but you’ll need to watch out for the Fourth of July crowd. Granted, there are docks where even the rowdiest partiers can’t get a little too liberal with your craft. However, the Fourth makes for some interesting happenings. You’ll get anybody from jet skiers to upscale yachts. Around the Fourth there are as many as 3000 pleasure boats. Be sure to get yourself a spot on the dock as early as possible.

As Party Cove is the most highly acclaimed party spot in the Lake of the Ozarks, there is a plethora of boat rental business ready to give you the best deal for the peak season. Most located on Osage Beach, you have your pick of vessels --from deck boats, to pontoon boats and wave runners. The prices are reasonable --beginning at $150 per hour for deck boats, $100 per hour for pontoon boats, $85 for ski boats, and $55 per hour for wave runners. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a rental establishment with a special for those who like to get their party started early (between 9 am and 1 pm).

As regards rentals, it’s important to note where you can get the least expensive deal even during peak season. Peak season, of course, is during the summer months (between May and July, when the weather is at its best, reaching about 90°). Prices, quite naturally, are going to be on the higher end of the spectrum --ranging anywhere from $775 per day to $1250 (this, of course, depending on craft size and model). As the peak season usually means an unprecedented attendance, you’d be well advised to book your boat rentals well in advance (usually a few months).

Party Cove is most certainly not the only party location in the Lake of the Ozarks. For those who want a year round excuse to rent a boat, you’re less likely to find miles of boaters and party goers during the off season. As such, the prices usually range on the lower side; beginning around $55 per hour (many have up to eight hour rentals which range in price from $300 to $550).
